About Initiative Radio
Initiative Radio is a weekly, one hour radio program that is produced and hosted by Angela McKenzie. Angela is the founder of the music for anti-hunger not-for-profit organization The AMcK Initiative, Inc. She is also a very busy singer who has performed at venues such as the World Famous Apollo Theater and the United Nations. In addition to producing Initiative Radio she produces a weekly radio show that airs on the National Public Radio (NPR) network. The objective of Initiative Radio is to feature the work of not-for-profit organizations,non-governmental organizations,inter-governmental organizations, corporations, persons of repute and ordinary persons whose mission statements, occupations and personal lives positively impact the local, national, global and universal communities. There is also a thematic, musical element to the program.
Initiative Radio airs on WSIA 88.9 FM, every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Sunday from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, to reach an audience of 2,500,000 in Staten Island (NY), New York (NY), New Jersey, Brooklyn (NY), Queens (NY) and on www.WSIA.FM to reach the remainder of the planet.
